Linzi’s Story

Hiya, my name is Linzi Wylie and I am 14 years old. I was diagnosed with strargardts when I was 10. At first I thought my life was over but then time went by and I thought life has just begun. I go to a school with a visually impairment unit in it which trained teachers to help me in class which makes a huge difference. At my school there are other children with different eye conditions, no-one has the same as me as it is very, very rare in Scotland, well actually in the UK. I use magnifiers and get all my stuff enlarged. I find it difficult to go out at weekends but I manage it.
