I was diagnosed with Stargardt’s Dystrophy somewhere in 2000 but was unable to get treatment as it was not avaialable till I heard about Sreedhareeyam. It gave me new hope, and I want to share it with others. I started my first course of treatment on 12th November 2005. Hospitalisation was essential for the treatment. I underwent specific Ayurvedic treatment till the 11th of December 2005. The main purpose of this treatment is to stop the disease from detoriating. Upon complete (and during) recovery, vision improvement is also expected. Frequency of the course of treatment varies by individual. As for me, there is slight improvement after the first treatment. I was asked to continue the second treatment after 3 – 6 months at the least. I chose the latter because of travelling expenses. Sreedhareeyam, on my part of view, is service based. It has a homely enviroment (this could be due to it’s status as an Ayurvedic Hospital). I will update you with the upcoming progress.
